60" Western Red Cedar Pole
Western Red Cedar is an excellent choice
for bird feeder poles. It is strong, beautiful,
extremely rot resistant and very stable.
Stable? What does that mean?
Lumber stability refers to its ability to
remain straight without bending, twisting or
warping. In other words, when a Hurley-Byrd
cedar pole is used, your feeder will remain
in a nice level position, exactly where you
set it and will do so for years to come.
The cedar we use for our poles is of the
highest grade available in the world. It does not
come any better than this. We are so confident in
our material choice, we guarantee all our bird
feeders, and poles too, for 10 years.
When mounting your own feeder we
recommend the use of our Small Pole Mounts
with these poles. For feeders with 10 pounds of
seed capacity (15 pounds seed and feeder),
this is an excellent set up.
For larger feeders, we recommend a
4x4 post and our Large Pole Mount.
Cedar poles are sized to be installed 12" in
the ground and will set your feeders
at a perfect 48" height.
