I call it Crazy Pop (#1 because there are 2)...... short for Crazy Poplar lumber feeder. The Poplar lumber used to craft this feeder is heavily spalted.

Poplar - Poplar is EVERYWHERE in West Virginia and one of our country's most important hardwoods. Poplar is light in weight with a color range consisting of near white to dark purple. It is a wonderful lumber.
Black Willow - Unlike its visual brethren, Black Walnut, Black Willow will fool all but the best lumbermen.
It is physically lighter in weight with amazingly beautiful details and extremely rare, even for us.
White Ash - White Ash is literally a dying species in WV (and all other parts of the country) due to the introduction of the Emerald Ash Borer beetle. WV Forestry is calling for 100% kill rate in 10 years.
