A Free Standing Garden Planter is an unique garden planter. Perfect for spring annuals like Pansies, Lobelia, Snaps and more.
Actually introduced in 2007, it has quickly become a very popular Hurley-Byrd item.
Nesting Planter Boxes.
Beautiful planting boxes of unprecedented quality designed as a set. All four nest together
for space saving winter storage. Each have ample drainage and runner style feet to lift
them off the ground slightly. Purchase individually or as the set.
Long Length Planter and Window Boxes.
Long in length for setting on patios, mounting to deck rails and used as window boxes.
These long length planter boxes have endless uses only limited by your creativity.
We offer three different sized boxes in three lengths and two different window
box planters. One being a standard square version, the other a tilted front.
Window boxes can be ordered in any length you desire up to 60".

Hurley-Byrd planter boxes have been designed to accept our deck rail mounts
which attach to your deck's railing without the use of damaging screws. Just like
our ever popular Grosbeak Bird Feeders, the mount wraps around the rail.
Large Flower Box - 8" in height, 10 1/2" in width, 24" Version Shown in Photos.
This is a grand flower box and it too has been designed to accommodate a deck rail mount.
It can be mounted to either a 5 1/2" or 7 1/4" deck rail. Custom sizes and rails welcomed.
Note the design. The water drain holes on the backside are larger than the front. This helps
divert the majority of your watering off the backside of the deck instead of on your feet.

They automatically come with our penetrating oil finish.
If unfinished products are desired, please leave us a note in the checkout's "Notes" area
stating "Please do not finish" or write/call us and we will build your planters as desired.

Rail Mounts
Each of the planter boxes listed above can be installed on your deck's railing.
The mounts for each are crafted exactly the same, preinstalled and then removed for shipping.
Note: The following boxes fit the following deck rails
Each must have 3/4" of clearance on the underside of the deck's rail:
Small Planter Boxes: 2x4 (1 1/2" x 3 1/2") deck rail.
Medium Planter Boxes: 2x4, 5/4x6 (1"x 5 1/2"), 2x6 (1 1/2"x 5 1/2") deck rails.
Large Planter Boxes: 5/4x6, 2x6, 5/4x8 (1"x 7 1/4"), 2x8 (1 1/2"x 7 1/4") deck rails.
Just like our deck rail mounted feeders, we can fit any rail mount configuration.

Please measure your deck's rail and feel free to write us with that information.
Be assured though, we will confirm everything before your order is shipped.
Window Boxes.
There is no equal in beauty and construction quality of a Hurley-Byrd Window Box.
Each are completely constructed using our premium grade western red cedar and
assembled with solid brass screws. Each have large drainage holes placed
throughout for fast removal of watering or excessive rains.
We have elected to NOT add mounting holes to our window boxes.
No matter where we put them, they will probably be wrong for your installation.
You will need to decide on the best location for mounting the box and
installing screws or screw attachments for your home.
No attaching hardware is included due to varied installation requirements.

Unfinished boxes are an excellent choice for those
wishing to paint or stain match their box to their
home. The photo to the left is an unfinished box.
Finished boxes come with our penetrating oil
finish. For those of you who already have our
wildlife feeders, you have seen the difference a
good finish makes in the feeder's beauty
and longevity. Window boxes and planters
are no different. The photo to the right is
the finished version of the box above.
